IDEA KNOCKOUT: VINEYARD ANGEL AMONG THE TOP 12 TECH START-UPS
Although SENDD seems to have become synonymous with TIS.AI lately, it's far from the only of our AI projects. Among many others, there is one you should take notice of - Vineyard Angel. The jury in the Idea Knockout competition most surely did!
But let's start at the beginning.
Going into the arena, Ivana Rendulić Jelušić, our veteran ambassador and honorary TIS member, bravely defended the colors of the TIS banner. She presented the future of smart agriculture to jury members, a guardian angel for winegrowers, and all other farmers ready for a smart future.
"Vineyard Angel is a unique, innovative, and modular digital AI platform that includes a complete system of data and knowledge about an individual vineyard," explains director Alti Agro. "It is not geographically limited and can be applied in all wine-growing regions of the world and on vineyards of all areas. The solution consists of individual modules/components corresponding to the specific conditions of grape production and the specific requirements of winegrowers."
Among the main advantages of Vineyard Angel is certainly its speed. "With our tool, analyses of the state of the vegetation of several tens of hectares can be completed after a few hours, which is incomparably faster and more efficient than the current way of working - walking around the vineyard and observing changes or monitoring weather forecasts and forecasts of the occurrence of diseases and pests. In addition to saving time, Vineyard Angel enables optimized allocation of resources and increases the efficiency of production and productivity of viticulture, which can ultimately result in financial savings for the viticulturist," adds Ivana.
Our colleagues Dženan Lojo, Tomislav Strgar, and Josip Kustić were among Ivana's most enthusiastic cheerleaders. According to the spies' reports from the field, we learned that Vineyard Angel was the only registered agro-tech solution, and the atmosphere among the competitors was more than stimulating.
We congratulate all the exhibitors, especially the team from Ani Bioma and Bruno Balen, who, according to the organizers, won in a rather tense match. We are glad we also had the honor of being a cog in that exciting story you will hear more about shortly.
